In order to become a Security Personnel, you will need to complete a Security course. There is a number of Security Courses available out there, your job is to choose the one that is best suited to your needs and schedule. Your course may vary in duration; however, the content of all Security courses is more or less composed up of the following components:

- Licensing Law
- Emergency Procedures
3) Conflict Management
- Avoiding Conflict and Reducing Personal Risk
- Defusing Conflict
- Resolving and Learning from Conflict
- Emergency Procedures
- Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management for Door Supervisors
4) Physical Intervention Skills
- Introduction to Physical Skills
- Disengagement Techniques
- Escorting Techniques
Note that the Training can be very demanding and you may have to put in a lot of effort and time. But then again, the end result will be worthwhile as Security Careers are one of the best paid careers in the UK. Note that there is no specific qualifications required in order to kick-start your training in Security, you must however have a clean CRB record.
Up on having completed your Training, after being assessed bya QCF assessor training expert in security, ,you can except to work in one of the following roles:
- Cash and valuables in transit
- Close protection
- Door supervision
- Public space surveillance (CCTV)
- Security guarding
- Vehicle immobilising
